Apparently the latest thing from Trump to 'whatabout' is.....wheels. We are truly in the dumbest timeline.
Dark does not mean deep.
He said he never said Mexico was going to pay for the wall, then says they ARE in the same bloody sentence! I swear, it's a good thing for him that breathing, heartbeat, and other important functions are autonomous, because if he had to rely on THAT brain to live, he'd have been dead YEARS ago!
And the USMCA isn't gonna pay for the wall, either.
There really isn't a lot of evidence on this matter.
Cato's report that undocumented immigrants commit crimes at a 16 percent lower rate is based on incarceration information from Texas, the only state that keeps data on the number of convictions of illegal immigrants for specific crimes.

We don't know if Texas is representative of the entire country. This is also based on incarceration, so that gets a bit murkier especially since this is a community in which victims of crime would be unlikely to go to the authorities.
We also don't have an exact number of how many undocumented immigrants there are in this country, so incarceration rates are based on a guess (interestingly enough the higher the number of illegal immigrants in the country, the lower their incarceration rate as a percentage of the population.)
A 2009 report by the Center for Immigration Studies has noted that we lack the data to come to a clear understanding, and the situation hasn't changed in the last decade.

While at the gym, I watched Senator Mazie Hirono (Hawaii) being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer and she came right out and called Trump for what he is regarding the shutdown that’s furloughed nearly a million federal workers....a HOSTAGE TAKER. Truer words were never spoken the whole damn week.

Trump's own numbers from INS and ICE refute both his claim and Cato's ... there's tonnes of evidence.
If I were Trump, I'd stick to the ~6K gang members deported because that data-point is true. But it also means acknowledging that the "bad" ones are coming from our ports (100% of the 5,875 gang members deported came in via our ports).
No wall needed, just better, modern border security.
It also means acknowledging that our terrorists are either homegrown, coming in via the ports, and via Canada.
So again, no wall is needed, just better border security.

There's a lot of evidence in this matter, though.

Nixon thru Obama admins:
Indicted
Democrats: 4 Republicans: 120
Convicted
Democrats: 2 Republicans: 82
Imprisoned
Democrats: 2 Republicans: 34 (so far)
Based on said evidence, maybe we should build a wall to keep Republicans out of office.
The "wall" is just a distraction from the criminality of the Republican party, regardless -- if they wanted it they would have passed it when they had control of Congress. Instead, they will attempt to use it to distract from the upcoming investigations of their lies, criminal behavior, and obstruction of justice.

The border wall will divide this Texas town, displacing or blocking homes - but where?
The neighborhood’s namesake, Maria Albesa De La Cruz, was among the first in the tiny, riverside colonia to receive a letter about the border wall.
Decades earlier, the 79-year-old De La Cruz, her husband and his six siblings had earned enough money picking crops in California’s Central Valley to buy land at the edge of the Rio Grande, where their cattle grazed and sipped from the river near the bridge to Mexico.
In September she got a letter from the U.S. government requesting access to her land so crews could survey the property and assess possible impacts of a wall. “We hope that you and other landowners in the Rio Grande Valley will assist us in our strategic efforts to secure our Nation’s borders,” the letter from U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
“This is our land,” said Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Rios, 60, De La Cruz’s niece. Her family created the colonia De La Cruz, as the neighborhood is known, and named streets after relatives — Sebastian Street, Federico Street, Angela Avenue. It is now home to more than 70 residents, the city says. Some voted for Trump for more Border Security, for a 'Wall'....didn't they know that this wall might destroy their community? Their land? Their property? Well, they know now. Some locals consider the proposed wall a vital safeguard; others dismiss it as a wasteful stunt. Most wish the government would be more forthcoming about where it will erect barriers spanning 37 miles of the Rio Grande Valley, the primary entry point for illegal immigration into the United States. The Border Patrol has yet to release precise maps. Throughout the valley, residents have grown frustrated and distrustful.

That's "Evidence" that exists within a bigger picture that clearly allows members of Congress to get away with things that no normal citizen could.
You started charging based on that?
Your numbers probably change quite a bit. Doubt that Democrats move past Republicans, but those numbers would no doubt change quite a bit.
So... "Evidence" is a little shaky when the "Evidence" only represents what you actually can charge/imprison based on.
