The sad truth. He should just focus on trying to do the right thing and best represent all the democrats especially the Black women that saved Alabama from itself for a brief time. Barely being elected over a child molester it was always going to be difficult to really make gains. The second the GOP finds a normal run of the mill non molester they will have the seat back again.

Who will run in 2020? The full list of Democrats vying to take on Trump

The 2020 Democratic primary is poised to be the largest and most diverse in recent memory. With half a dozen candidates already in the race and dozens more considering it, Democrats will have no shortage of candidates auditioning for the role of Trump-slayer.

By the time of the first Democratic debate in June 2019, the potential candidates could stretch over four decades in age, feature a historic number of women and include multiple African Americans, at least one Latino, a gay navy veteran, a Hindu – and a vegan. Among the speculative list of contenders are political veterans – senators, members of Congress, governors and small- and big-town mayors – as well as political novices – businessmen, entrepreneurs and even a new age author – all of whom span the ideological spectrum from consensus-minded-pragmatists to Democratic socialists.

There is no clear frontrunner and Trump has already begun taunting his would-be opponents, setting the stage for a wild, unpredictable, rough-and-tumble primary season.

So who do you think will primary Pence?

Putin will probably make Rand Paul run, unless he thinks Lindsey Graham has a better chance.

    Jeff Flake

    Chris Christie

    Tulsi Gabbard

If Trump survives to run in 2020 (which is looking less and less likely), I doubt he'll keep Pence.

If Trump doesn't run in 2020, Pence doesn't stand a chance. Pence can be primaried by Steve King or a Republican Corgi.

I doubt Flake or Christie have the stomach to deal with a presidential run, the former had retired from politics while the latter is probably angling for a TV gig. I don't know if Paul has enough brand recognition and Grouchy Graham has already shown he's too unbalanced for the job. As for Walsh, isn't he busy touring with The Eagles?

He announced he'd primary Trump back in 2017 but hasn't gotten loud about again till November 18. Apparently he's fundraising for it.

John Kasich, the "reasonable" Republican who's also f***ing terrible to women and gays, just not nearly as bad as Trump. Really, he's just less overtly racist. It's only Kasich's policies that are bad for minorities, not his rhetoric. Even if Trump's pee tape gets released, I dont' think Kasich beats him. The current GOP base won't rally behind anyone who isn't a white nationalist. It's now a feature, not a bug.

And he can't figure out how he's losing the battle. There's a Marist poll out that has 57% of the country saying they will not vote for Donald Trump in 2020 because of the shutdown. Kinda hard to win the electoral college when you're gonna lose the popular vote 57-43.
It doesn't necessarily work that way and you know it, WBE. Remember, a significant portion of that 57% who won't vote for Trump won't vote for the Democratic nominee either. And every vote for a third party or just stays home and doesn't vote at all is one vote closer to Trump winning the Electoral College again.

In a closer vote, yes. Last one Clinton lead Trump by 2% with about 5% going to third Party. A difference of more than 10% would be impossible to overcome, even if they suppress and rig votes like last time.

Statically speaking, our large cities are getting the point of rendering the electoral college moot, even in flyover country.

    So there's that.

The smocking covfefe in the forrest of hamberders appears to be the 45 directed Cohen to, A) pay for and manipulate polling data, and B) lie to Congress.

Suborning perjury is a clear and simple little seque into conspiracy charges.

Even "No Indictment Barr" has said that witness tampering is reason to impeach.
