On the one hand, it's easy to see the benefits of giving children of foreigners an extensive education in Danish values. Knowing the language, history, and culture of the land will make you feel a part of it, and give you an advantage in improving your lot in life. That's huge, and a good thing. On the other hand, making it mandatory and threatening families with hunger for nonparticipation, is frickin' harsh.
"A happy ending? So unlikely. We're not having a moment here.
Wrong city, wrong people, all huddling in fear.
No one escapes the slaughterhouse, and that's just where you're at.

You think you're special cuz you're scrappy? You're deluded, time to go.
Lucy's living on the moon but you're another dead psycho."
It's not to the degree of the cultural genocide those countries inflicted on their native populations. There are no prison schools, forced labor or mandatory punishments for speaking their native language. But just because it's more humane doesn't mean it doesn't come from the same bad place.

Pretty much all the Scandinavian countries, not to mention Finland, have very strong, hard right movements that are making a lot of noise about 'muslim immigration'. Like most of the world, the hard right-wing is resurgent everywhere. People just hadn't been paying attention.

So Hillary Clinton think that in order to stop right wing populism, Europe needs to stop immigrants. Basically in order to stop racists from being racist Europe need to give the racists what they want? Lol

MI6 battling to stop Donald Trump releasing classified Russia probe documents
MI6 chiefs are secretly battling Donald Trump to stop him publishing classified information linked to the Russian election meddling investigation.
The UK is warning that the US president would undermine intelligence gathering if he releases pages of an FBI application to wiretap one of his former campaign advisers.
However Trump allies are fighting back, demanding transparency and asking why Britain would oppose the move unless it had something to hide.
It forces the spotlight on whether the UK played a role in the FBI's investigation launched before the 2016 presidential election into Trump campaign ties to the Kremlin.

Trump warns of 'bedlam, chaos, injury and death' if US judges allowed to do their job
President Donald Trump again butted heads with Chief Justice John Roberts on Thursday over the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit after a federal judge blocked Trump's move to restrict access to political asylum in the US for immigrants who enter the country illegally.
"Justice Roberts can say what he wants," Trump tweeted, referring to a rare statement from the top-ranking member of the Supreme Court defending the independence of the judicial branch of government, "but the 9th Circuit is a complete & total disaster."
The 9th Circuit Court, based in San Francisco, is widely viewed as one of the US's most liberal and has previously blocked Trump's moves on immigration, such as his travel ban."It is out of control, has a horrible reputation, is overturned more than any Circuit in the Country, 79%, & is used to get an almost guaranteed result," Trump tweeted.
A PolitiFact investigation in 2017 found that the Supreme Court overturned 79% of cases it reviewed from the 9th Circuit from 2010 to 2015, though less than 1% of the total number of cases ruled by the circuit court got overturned.Furthermore, PolitiFact found that the 9th Circuit didn't have the highest rate of cases reviewed and overturned by the Supreme Court in that period — the 6th Circuit did, with 87%.
"Judges must not Legislate Security and Safety at the Border, or anywhere else. They know nothing about it and are making our Country unsafe," Trump continued.
The US Constitution tasks members of the federal judiciary with determining whether actions by Congress or the executive branch comply with the Constitution.

Did Trump have ANY idea how incredibly STUPID that comment was? But, of course, he has to keep up the anti-immigrant rhetoric, including more yapping about his precious wall, or risk losing his base.
Well, I’m an American, and I pray MBS steps in front of a speeding truck and gets splattered like a bug on a windshield.
