Most artists are too scared to draw them. Which is a shame really. I dont have a problem with straight hair but its kind of boring now especially for a character like Storm. Other black women in comics get to have natural hair. Why cant she? Originally Posted by Crimz

Your theory...which is only mere supposition on your part, doesn't change the fact that from birth, to being separated from her parents and living in Cairo, to her "Goddess" days in Kenya, her natural hair has always been straight (much like its platinum colour and the colour of her eyes are a result of her Magical/Mutant ancestry).
Keep in mind...Len Wein and Cockrum who created the very diverse All New All Different X-Men including your beloved Storm probably was not as disdainful of Black people and their natural hair as you might think.Last edited by Devaishwarya; 09-13-2018 at 02:40 PM.

I do believe Storm needs to move away from the straight hair. But then, she spent 40 odd years with straight hair, and to some folks, it would be considered weird to change it.
