Ororo Munroe: Storm Appreciation 2018

Something I just noticed from the cartoon gifs and butterflykyss' scans that is missing from the current X-books is Storm's regal presentation. Storm use to have this regal, royal disposition in the way she was drawn and spoke. The 90s cartoon Storm exaggerated it quite a bit, but it made her so memorable and unique. It's all but gone in current X-books and I miss it.

I miss it too but you have to remember the xoffice made an effort to show her as relatable and down to earth. This was actually a big aspect of her solo too. I do miss it as well but I find when I have seen newer writers try it, like gillen dying his uncanny run, it just reads and sound stupid.

oan wats this I hear about the f4 origins being retconned?? marvel better not f up.

I'm not sure if this is reason but I definitely agree this is why her characterization is lacking in the current stories.

It scared the CRAP out of me.....until I saw it was about the FF so i'm fine. *As long it has nothing to do with the X-Men...or Storm* PHEW

There should be relatable traits to the character; her fears, love, likes/dislikes etc. But Storm should have a different presence and way of presenting herself when compared to other characters. I agree 100%. it was a point I made a couple pages back but as the years have progressed this character has gotten more stale and bland in comparison to her old uncanny days, which defies what is typically seen where characters get more interesting as time progresses. outside of leading the school what major development has this character seen under the xoffices since her triumphant return to the xmen after her ended marriage?

but boo dont lose hope this is the one time it's good marvel ain't checking for Ororo. The fans that should be worried are thor, spiderman, hulk, captain marvel, and all the avengers marvel love to promote.

I don't care about the Avengers they can be erased for all I care. I just don't want this RANDOM BS Marvel is cooking up about Destroying ALL that we know and love. Just...Don't TOUCH my X-Men. I don't have the mental capacity to deal with Storm's or any other X-men orgin changed if ANYONE just get rid of Wolverine. :-)

I swear the avengers are probably one of the most boring teams I've ever seen. Marvel deserves much credit because they took characters that growing up I didnt care about and were able to turn them into one the best selling blockbuster franchises.
