You know, I was just researching the term, and it seems strange.

In-universe it means 'Walker of Clouds' in a Wakanda dialect, but in the real world, 'hadhari' is Arabic for 'submission' as in 'submission, surrender, obedience, acknowledgement, approval, and the acceptance of Allah', and the Yao are a eastern African ethnic group who participated in the slave trade with Muslim slavers.... I wonder why Coates chose such words for her title?

Evidently there is also a Hebrew Hadari, which is a nickname for Hadar, which means "Glory, Splendor, Gloriousness", which is much better, but still that Yao is problematic.

Hadari is not a word that is commonly used in Swahili anymore but "Yao" means theirs or them depending on how one uses it, however if i change one letter from Hadari to Hodari (which means Brave) the whole thing starts to make sense translating to "Their Brave"

Although this would only work if "Yao" is used as possession noun for Wakanda.

I'm just seeing this beloved. im not sure why he chose this exact name but knowing coates I'm sure there was some reading behind it in relation to the real world. I'm just gally a writer has come along and gave her some much needed development.
