There are a lot of passionate Ororo fans. Many have been *snapped* off of these boards. Hopefully they are only temporary. I enjoy differing opinions and ideas. I don’t always agree but it is nice to see others points of views on how they view Storm.

I personally love a more grounded “human” Ororo as opposed the the goddess. Her internal strength is why I love her. Her powers are just a secondary love for me.

As a black woman with naturally straight hair, I'll admit that I've always had a slight resentment that the term "natural" meant curly or kinky hair for us. My hair is natural - it's just straight. I've never had a relaxer. The amount of people, (including Black people), that assume I either chemically treated my hair or that I am mixed raced is crazy. In terms of natural black hair, there's no "one size fits all" when it comes to texture and growth patterns, so I am not sure why it surprises so many people that my hair is natural.

Storm's hair is naturally straight. I'd rather not recon something as superficial as this.

I can see your perspective. My grandmother, mom, and aunt have naturally straight hair. We call it "baby fine" hair because it's so soft, almost fragile.

It surprises because you aren't the norm, Straight hair isn't what most black people have there isn't a one size fits all BUT they are things that are rare among black like blue eyes, red hair and straight hair. You might have told you have "Good Hair" by someone, I have been around tons of black women have said stuff like I would marry that person so my child would have a "good hair". The stereotypical standard of beauty is straight hair and light skin. This stuff seems superficial but there is a reason why some people didn't want Shipp as Storm or would have rather someone other than Halle. Despite all the shades of the rainbow they consider black you tend to get light skin and straighten hair when character is consider beauty black in movie,tv show and comics.

Now because Storm is the premiere Black Female character(and one of the small of amount of minority characters in comics) people try to put every black perspective on her which I don't agree, Storm is perfectly fine as is but issue being mention is real but it is solve by having more prominent characters. If Cecila Reyes(braids), Cipher(dreads?) M(straight), Idie (fro or short), Frenzy (braids or short) are around more with the same visibility as Storm we aren't having a convo if the actor for storm is too light skin or storm should have natural hair instead of straight. These convos are born Storm is the only character we are guarantee to see so people feel that she must be everything.

I can't help but think about MCU Storm.
As per team costume wise. Seeing how the Avengers roughly got accurate costumes portrayals.
What can we expect. Gold&blue or some other uniform as a whole. Or we getting personalized costume to each character?
And if So......
Are we getting orginal costume which would be appealing but not Disney friendly. Or some other iconic costume. Like the All white. Or her Unccany black and gold look or other?
