Storm really saved the day in many ways in X-Men Red #8 with her leadership/strategizing and her powers.

Jean, Gabby, and Trinary mind link to take down the sentinites. Howevever, Cassandra telepathically infiltrates the mind link. Storm realizes this when Jean says Cassandra's name. Storm orders Nightcrawler to teleport Trinary away from the others even if she resists. She then has Nightcrawler teleport herself to the surface, to the sky. There is a beautiful panel where Storm is flying very fast close to the ocean water and her winds are disturbing the surface. Storm then creates a gigantic tidal wave to flood the Genoshan ruins where Cassandra is. This forces Cassandra to break contact with the mind link (after all she has to keep herself and controlled-Forge from drowning and being swept away). Storm's tidal wave even makes Cassandra exclaim "oh #$%^". With Cassandra out of the mind link, Trinary returns to the others and Gambit, Gentile, etc join the mindlink. Trinary is then able to overload the sentinites with hate from the internet.

I wish rutog was still here. His downplaying of a certain redhead in discussions about psychic characters always annoyed me, but I appreciated his love and passion for Storm. I remember he was concerned that Taylor wouldn't portray Storm as a credible threat to Cassandra. Yet, Cassandra didn't see Storm coming. Without Storm's intervention, Cassandra would have prevented Trinary and the others from stopping the sentinites. They would have spread all over the world leading to the deaths of many mutants.

I really thought Taylor was going to poop and condense Storm to Lighting Woman again. And then we get this Water Feat(which by the way is one of my FAVORITE FEATS)

She told him to leave, she knew she was still in fight mode. Bloodstorm was in the process of helping Scott up and flirting with him. The two were two different situations and you could see that Bloodstorm wasn't taking the fight seriously enough. She's turned into mist before Monet was able to hit her, so she's fast, I just don't get why it's a competitionn?

Uhhhh I didn’t say it was a competition. I was poking fun at BloodStorm not being able to dodge a spear at close range, but Orginal Storm can. So Where did you get that it was a competition????

Anyway, it’s still a good feat Original Storm dodged the spear that close. Regardless if she was paying attention or not.
