I don't know much about the game outside of what I see on the official web site, but how are 'Spirits" used? Can a game be modified to use them like you did with the pokeballs?

Oh man, if he can make it where each of the fighters has a custom Spirit load out, I'll have my Incineroar's load out from the game is the one I request.

spirits can be used for the tournament but i'll have to run a test play through to see what exactly can i do with them. but basically, spirits act as modifiers. they can increase stats, have you start off with certain weapons, make you more immune to certain attacks (fire, poison, electricity, etc) and increase the effectiviness of certain attacks and moves for certain characters.

from the look of it, they give you random spirits when you pick a character, unless someone knows something i don't.

OK I just tried it, and if you click next to the character in the little box where it shows the Primary Spirit that was randomly selected, you can instead reassign it to a team you have set up. So if you're willing to set up 32 teams (or less for any overlap or anyone willing to accept random) you could do the tournament like that.

damn. that would be a hassle. i might have to hold off on a spirit tournament for the time being.

i'm considering either a "champion's choice" or "donation choice" tournament.
