Awww, my in-laws and nieces stopped by to reassure that yes, they are very much in good spirits given what happened this week. My brother is unfortunately busy but he's in good shape.

Plus my Dad snagged two cases of drinkable water which given the situation with water in Texas was pretty bitching. Kudos to my Pops.

I read this morning about how, despite the current crisis, energy prices for those who had power at the peak of the snow had their prices go up exponentially.

That seems like the opposite of what you want?

Like, no one can go to work, hundreds of people have had their houses damage by pipes bursting and then they might get stung with thousands of dollars in energy fees.

This week, I read an issue of Spider-Woman where a clone of Jessica’s mum, who is essentially baseline human in stats, shoved a sword into the back of the High Evolutionary and out the front.

So a late-middle-aged, baseline-human woman can pierce the High Evolutionary’s armour TWICE with one stab.

No.

Just no.

Nope.

Not having it.

- The world is on fire, literally, and the flames are fueled by humanity's negative feelings, so the way to safe everybody is to somehow give them all hope. - Charon is apparently dead, bit anti-climactic fashion for him to go out in, though his attack was used to send Dragon blasting out into space (he's on his way back). - I enjoyed the little further glimpse into Haumea and Charon's relationship. It was oddly sweet yet twisted.

i feel ya.

the nephews stopped by early this week because their home didn't have power. we lucked out when it came to power and water so the old woman is in the kitchen making a big pot of chilli beans for family to get.

save for a small bathroom mishap, our pipes are good.
