I've always appreciated how the Modern Martial Artist breaks down techniques in combat sports, and today's release coincides with a bit of a trivial research hole I've gone down for shoulder rolls, Philly shells, and defensively fighting in the pocket.



As a bit of a casual observer always behind the current scene, this channel's film studies are pretty great references for breaking down the sequences and has been pretty helpful for conceptualizing/drawing action gestures.

Sooooo really late to the party here but finally watched Sword Art Online Abridged... has their ever been an abridged series that improved on the source material this much? I mean its kind of a unique situation with a really good abridged series and really bad source material but still

It's been a long while since I really dug into an Abridged show, but to my experience, only DBZA really matches it (particularly as it reaches the third season). But DBZ wasn't as overtly bad as SAO, so even there, it's probably not a solid comparison.
