Gosho Aoyama's Yaiba is going to be fully adapted by Wit Studio. Man, this studio is going to have its hands full this year between projects like this, the One Piece remake, Great Pretender, Suicide Squad, and Moonrise.

I prefer the manga version of this scene, where the casual immediacy of Zoro slicing Kaku's attack really highlights the vastness between their strengths.

But the build up here is pretty nice too.

Actually made it out to Free Comic Book Day this year. Hit three shops yesterday, and went back to one today where it turned out they still had some left overs of things I hadn't snagged yet. Among those were a locally made zine and a locally made fantasy comic, for a total of 13 free comics. I bought a couple floppies as well, got a free bundle and a heavily discounted bundle, too, so I made out with a quite a haul for under twenty bucks. :3

Granted, I'm probably going to not even read most of them, but it was nice to actually go into a comic shop again. I'm almost tempted to make it a weekly habit, just to do my miniscule part to support the industry, but my thin wallet and my lack of any storage space and my continued dedication to forsaking physical media in favor of ereaders discourages me. :B

I had really wanted to do that to go look for free comic books, however I had to take care of a technical issue, then I took my husband out shopping for new clothes. Which actually ended up being kind of fun. His current clothes were starting to look like he had been in a fight with the Hulk and won.
