now that's a bit unfair. cosaire didn't know scott was even alive. (also scott didn't know his brother was alive, even though he fought him). and from their earlier conversation, he hadn't been back to earth.

also, now that we are on it, i find it weird that scott would be so hateful towards his dad after they made up in 97.

Fair, that was pretty harsh of an assessment from me.

I dunno, he probably isn't exactly mad at his dad but more of letting out the frustration of how his life just sucked. Like it's a relief his father is alive and cares...But the unpleasant memories of the orphanage and unloving foster homes as he grew up unfortunately just doesn't go away. Like dude just doesn't have therapy to go through that stuff (well...Therapy that sticks). Knowing that his son will likely never grow up knowing his parents even if it meant saving the boy's life (then the truth is...A lot more complicated) really must've struck some bad memories during that time of duress.

just saying scott calling him a deadbeat is a bit unfair since he didn't know him or alex were still alive and he wanted to avenge his wife getting killed by d'ken for years. also, thinking about it, he probably didn't know how long he's been away from earth in local time. time passes differently in space, so for him, it might feel like a few months or a few years.

True, space is really loopy as hell and fiction usually just shrugs and say yeah...A lot of **** happens in space.

...Like recently I actually asked myself how long did Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma stayed on Namek trying not to get killed waiting for Goku to arrive? Like Goku spent what felt like days training in high gravity until it virtually means nothing to him and still have time to rest up in the last legs of the traveling when the gang on Namek were practically in near nonstop combat. True, there is that period of Krillin getting exposition from Guru while Frieza is keeping Vegeta imprisoned to find the dragon ball he hid...But was it really that long?

No worries, I'm kinda cool with the debate really.
