I'm not sure how to feel mentally writing scenes of my own story. Mainly in bits and pieces that aren't exactly connected yet. Like I'm thinking up a scene that took place months prior to the current time the actual stories take place but it's kinda smack dab where I have yet to fully do what exactly led to this scene and what'll happen later.

"One event happens, and then this happens" outlines...what happens, and sometimes that can work, but maybe try to reframe the events in terms of cause and effect?

Instead of "and then," consider using "But" or "Therefore".

Trey Parker and Matt Stone explained this in their formula for writing South Park episodes, and I think giving due consideration to how one event flows into the next might help link these things together, even in longer term storytelling.

Two manga I like a lot that are still fairly early in their runs (less than 60 chapters) are:

Mieruko-chan, about a girl who can see terrifying body horror ghosts and has live her life pretending she can't see them. Characters are fun, and the art combines adorable human characters with truly freakish monster designs.

Sousou no Frieren, about the elven mage of a hero party who continues her adventures decades after the Big Evil of the world was defeated. It's almost slice-of-lifey, with frequent flashbacks to Frieren's time with the hero party in their peak years, relating to whatever shenanigans she finds herself wrapped up in in the present day.

For a short manga, at only four volumes, 7 Billion Needles is a fun romp involving a girl who becomes the host for an alien spirit as it attempts to battle another, extinction-causing alien. Some interesting shifts in how the dynamic between them evolves.

Gomu Gomu is secretly the most specialist fruit ever, if it actually comes to fruition (:V) is just a case of meta-bloat? Like how, if a street level superhero character gets written about long enough and gets popular enough, eventually they'll be revealed to be Multiversally important, just because they've become a cultural institution and that would be cool? That's a more extreme example, but also reminds me of the DCAU retcon of Terry turning out to be Batman's son through genetic tampering, that really undercut Terry's significance as his own character for me, but I imagine they did it because Batman is so big in the minds of the audience. I also hope Oda doesn't go that route, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does just due to the nature of escalation.

I hope you are already to get extremely hurt by this series once again. I'm sure the addition of movement and voice acting will do nothing but enhance the pain. ^_^

I just woke up from a complex dream, or multiple dreams. I thought I'd share the first part with you.

It began with Professor Utonium, in his lab, stirring up a batch of some unknown chemical. He wasn't alone though. There were four others in the lab with him [it was a larger lab than is normally depicted, one with a few extra rooms]. Across from him, working at a table on the other side of the room, was a sexy female scientist [white or Asian, average height, long brown hair, big butt, big chest] visiting from someplace. He also had three lab assistants, one was a young, college-age, black man who complained about something going on at school that was keeping him from getting any sleep. the other two, in an adjacent, separate room, were an elderly couple. Grandparent types, both white with greying hair, working on something else for the Professor.

The Professor is talking about how he needs to create a little girl detective for some reason, I can't remember why.

Then something goes wrong, as it sometimes happens, and instead, he ends up giving the four in the lab with him superpowers of some kind.

There are holes in the plot, but dreams are like that.

Oh, and it was mostly very cartoonish . Like watching a new episode of the PPGs.

Hopefully one of these days MWO will...Work something out with adding mechs such as the Hatchetman. Only heard it's just recently they've been trying to balance the game out.

...sadly, I'll never be able to play it as my gaming is limited to Xbox. Possibly PS in the future (I'm becoming disenchanted with the Xbox, and all of the good stuff is cross-system anyway).

Anyway, Xbox doesn't have Mechwarrior Online, just Mechwarrior 5 at the moment. I'm a little *wiggles hand* about getting it, and am still full-up with doing ME: Legendary over and over again. ^_^

Nice. I just finished with my summer classes so gonna do a lot of Battletech and writing in my freetime.

Relooking at my random written scenes at the moment, where it's just mostly made to get a feel of how my characters act. Fun exercise.

Thus far, we only know that the fruit was stolen from a navy ship and that this resulted in Who's Who getting fired. Side note: Shanks crew mentions that they stole the fruit from an enemy ship all the way back in Chapter 1, so this is another of Oda's mad call backs

Not just fired, but put into jail because of it. His failure to protect the Gomu Gomu was considered so bad, they locked him up. Rob Lucci (along with Spandam and Kaku) failed to protect Enis Lobby and even caused it to be destroyed in the case of Spandam, allowed Nico Robin to escape, and failed to procure the plans to the ancient weapon Pluton. And they got promotions to CP0. Think about that for a moment.
