Yeah, that most recent episode was pretty intense. This show is great.



I am excited for the show, it's not online where I can view it yet but I'm going to give it a shot.

The comparison between the new show and the 2011 series when they are both trying to accomplish entirely different things feels pretty mad disingenuous to me so... I don't know... maybe just because it's not the thing you want doesn't mean that it's bad...?

Thundercats Roar discourse has pretty poisonous for a while now, I'd appreciate if we could stop it from spreading to here.

Kinda-sorta? Hard to tell since it's just starting out. If you can get past the wtf animation then it's....kiiiinda decent? I guess? Yay?

The best I can say is give it a shot and see what you think but the animation is pretty much what you saw in the promo.

I have to say that even though I loath Teen Titans Go, I Enjoyed the music from the fictional band B.E.R. Of course I won't mind a serious Teen Titans cartoon in the art style of Night Begins To Shine. Fun fact the Night Begins To Shine episodes are the only Teen Titans Go episodes to score high ratings on IMDB. With 40%,40%,20% episode having a rating 8.2 on IMDB.

Just to address this while sober, as I was drunk last night; my point is not that you have to like the thing or give it a chance.

My point is that the complaint "It's not like 2011 series," is such a ridiculous complaint. The two shows, while they use the same intellectual property, are trying to accomplish entirely different things in terms of style, tone and message to the point where direct comparison doesn't really mean anything.

My objection was to the structure of your argument rather than your opinion on the show. I've not seen Roar yet, it might well be bad.

I mean, not to be deliberately contentious but I'll just acknowledge my dissent on this statement. Personally, I never thought the 2011 show was all that interesting. I watched most of the first season and slid right off it. It wasn't bad but it just didn't really capture me that much.
