Osceola led such a tragic life, but at least he did manage to regain a bit of joy by raising Lewin as his son. We also got additional foreshadowing by showcasing Lewin directly channeling the power of his Demon King ancestor. And Osceola's War Cry is literally beastly as hell, and it was satisfying ot see him beat Amon like a drum until you realize that he's on a strict time limit since the possession will inevitably kill him(though it's been implied that he's used it before, so maybe the fatality rate is dependent of the time duration). This also carries relevency because Osceola did impart his knowledge of spiritual stimulants to Rin as cooking advice, and I feel that Rin may make use for it some time in the future.

Since the Kazama lineage just became significantly more relevant after TK8's revelations regarding its effect on the Devil Gene, Asuka may play a more prominent role in the plot later on.

Additionally some pro players think her nerfs are a conspiracy to push Jun. Not so sure about that, but alas.

Kill the Villainess was pretty awesome, both as an example of the genre and a deconstruction of the genre.

I am absolutely interested in recommendations in this genre. ^_^ Thanks, Yun. I've been...like, devouring every one of these I find for a couple of years, now. Between the often ridiculously-good art, the political/societal stuff, and the focus on character interaction over plot and power-gathering, they're really enjoyable.

Yeah, it's surprising how diverse and well written the concept of the "villainess" can be. I'll send you my recommendations via PM when I get some spare time tonight.
