Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

new one piece out.
lord orochi's DF has a name.
all hell has broken loose. nuff said.
and big mom is still lacking in memory. what are you planning, oda?
While that would allow aspects of the narrative to be tied more directly into Ichigo, it still wouldn't have fixed Ichigo being a bit directionless in terms of his character.
I think the Shinigami getting more focus was a good call, the Rescue Rukia arc still remains one of the strongest arcs in the series.
It was after that arc that it became pretty apparent that Kubo was flailing about a lot.
Ichigo: What even *are* you?!
Kenpachi: Some say my mother was a train. Some say that I'm a rejected Godzilla monster too strong for the series canon. But everyone says: I'M THE KEEEEENPACHIIIIII!!!!
You know, while the lack of over-arching direction for Ichigo is a problem, I've always appreciated that he doesn't have the same kind of lofty goals as Luffy or Naruto and other protags like them. It made him feel more grounded.
He's just got this innate sense of right and wrong and acts upon that as best as he can. The rest of the factions of the series are all wrapped up in their own politics, power struggles and self-centered agendas, and then there's Ichigo who's just trying to do his best to help out. It's a dynamic that's touched upon but was never explored as much as I'd hoped.
Shinobu was hilarious this chapter. And yeah...**** went down real quick. Kinda love how chaotic it was with Nami, Robin, and Brook getting little moments to shine as they made their escape.
Kyoshiro remains an enigma and his goals a mystery at the moment. But I'm starting to think he's got more of a connection to the Kozuki clan then initially shown.
As for Big Mom...no idea where this is going, but I wonder if this'll lead to her remembering something about her past.
