Ichigo: What even *are* you?!
Kenpachi: Some say my mother was a train. Some say that I'm a rejected Godzilla monster too strong for the series canon. But everyone says: I'M THE KEEEEENPACHIIIIII!!!!

I read through it again fairly recently in like... three days and it honestly went down much better the second time.
I think the thing that killed it was Kubo's normal fairly sedate pacing mixed with a weekly release schedule. Reading the whole arc continously made it feel a lot pacier and more fun. There are still a lot of problems with it, I remain pretty convinced that Kubo just didn't really want to have to write about Ichigo that much any more so his whole final plot feels very slapped together and we know it was abruptly cancelled so the moments where you would have gotten some actual catharsis had to be severely condensed.
I can't say I'm rushing to watch it but it's a fun arc. It's not bad in my opinion. Flawed, certainly. But enjoyable enough.
Agreed. Jujutsu Kaisen has a really interesting energy to it. If you want to talk spiritual successors, Bleach's is definitely Jujutsu Kaisen.
It feels a lot like early era Bleach except with a pointedly darker tone and a much clearer emphasis on trying to tell an ensemble piece established earlier on. It works well and I hope the upcoming anime for that is good.
Also, since I'm talking manga and stuff, man Yumi's Cells has been a consistently really fun slice-of-life comic for like... forever.
The current arc has been very enjoyable.
If you want something low stakes that is enjoyable, check it out if you haven't done so already.
scrapper and hook think scavenger has had a bit too much to drink.

Nope.
Lot's of people enjoyed the heck out of it.
It's something of a mess. But there are several great parts to it.
Then there are the shippers who didn't like that the pairings that had been set up throughout the entire manga (though the anime did screw up a lot of that set up) and overreacted because of that. But you know, sucks to be them I guess.
..WOO NEW BLEACH ANIME!
