    1) That video was legitimately terrifying.
    2) Who the Hell would ever want to live there, aside from the suicidal?

So, apparently we've reached the bottom of the 'nostalgia baiting' barrel, because Paramount+ is making a revival of the show iCarly, a show that ended 9 years ago. It has Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor reprising their roles, but not Jennette McCurdy, because she retired from acting to pursue a career in writing and directing.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

Man, some of those shows brought back nostalgic memories.

Not for the orginal 60s Run, of course, but I did see some of them in reruns.

But if they're looking for cheesy 80s properties to reboot there's more than a few.

Of course part of what he's complaining about might be the recentness of the program instead of some old property that kids wouldn't have heard of, they're bringing back a show only 9 years gone and still using the original cast.

Your AI algorithm must be broken, you posted that two days ago.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

I can see how that would be worse. Old folk like me might eye-roll over a reboot of The Herculoids, but the target audience might be too young to have ever seen the original. However, something more current, nearly everyone is aware of, and rebooting it just feels wrong.

The existence of Cruella alone is below that in the nostalgia barrel

That's not really in the 'nostalgia bait' barrel. That's an entirely different barrel: Disney's desire to seemingly make EVERY female villain a heroic (or at least anti-heroic) figure worthy of sympathy and admiration.

As an aside, the Live Action Kenshin Movies' English Dub is good for a laugh.
