    Shinigami, hollows and arrancar are spirits that are invisible to people without any spiritual awareness. Humans with spirit powers (like Chad, Orihime and the fullbringers) and the Quincy are all living beings that can manipulate spiritual energies so they're as visible as regular people. But again, I guess that their powers might be invisible to humans then.

    That was never specified in the series.
