Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

first day back at work
boooooo
Me: *being at work*
Brain: Man this is dull.
Me: *trying to work*
Brain: You know what might be fun?
Me: ???
Brain: Going back to that design for an RPG system you were working on a few years ago. Maybe you could finish it and run something. Some of the mechanical ideas and the setting itself were preeeeeetty neat.
Me: ...
Brain: No, you're right. We don't have the attention span to actually run anything ;_; Back to work.
Belated happy new year. ^_^
The best (haha) part about it is that The Worst is actually the least over-the-top of the movies. ^_^
.....
I mean, setting aside DTC, which goes without saying.
Interesting. I don't know the series, but it's a surprise he's not one of the band people. ^_^
Sorry, man. I'm back as of today, myself.
Been through that, and I'm sorry.
My current (ie, VERY longterm) group stays on track, but that only really started when one of the people who was the instigators of misreason basically drifted away.
Why are we here?
"Superboy Prime (the yelling guy if he needs clarification)..." - Postmania
"...dropping an orca whale made of fire on your enemies is a pretty strong opening move." - Nik
"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate
My group is mostly good. They have a tendency to want to get distracted by silliness, but I'm ok with most of that. I think it's ok to laugh and have fun at the "table" (roll20). It's mostly one offender (well, two, a couple), who just derails things. Actually had other players message me about it ruining the session, so unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have one of *those* conversations, which I really hoped to avoid.
It's one of the jobs of the GM to protect the fun of the game. Including, which is often forgotten, the GM's own fun. If one player is sucking the fun out of the game for you and others, then yeah...time for a talk. Hopefully it won't lead to 'or you're gone', but if it does, it does. Hope it goes well.
It's also one of the jobs of the players to protect the fun of the game, but that's a different conversation. ^_^

Totally understood.
Really hope it works out, then. Hoofing people is never fun. That said, I don't plan on it being a "or you're gone" type deal as I think they'll be able to handle it maturely. I actually really enjoy having them at my table, this issue not withstanding.

GMs have a tough job, I hope you're able to defuse the situation and get everything on track Kahn.
On a more positive note, due to the pandemic driving my drinking up a bit, I am doing dry January this year to reset myself somewhat. I hope to use my more sober time to do more art.
I mean, I drew drunk on occasion as well and it was a fun time, but y'know more quality work.
Might even take a cue from Gen and do some free request drawings if I feel so inclined so... I guess mentally brush up your OCs over this month.
