MK has am absurdly huge roster and "generic martial artist with a mysterious backstory," could describe at least three of them.

Why put in a new guy when Johnny, Liu Kang, Jax or Sonya are all more than capable of taking protagonist duties?

Like they could have just used Kobra. Kobra is one of the worst characters in MK but at least he's from it.

Movie looks like fun though.

One good thing about Zoom Meetings is that you can mute audio and video, then walk away to get a drink or do something else, as long as others are talking. I zoom, a lot, and I have even begun cooking dinner while in the middle of a meeting when others were talking.
