Maybe because it didn't feel like... a big enough scale fight to say farewell to these aspects of Naruto.

Yeah, the scaling in Boruto has not been very good

This arc is really shaping up to be quite interesting, it has a lot of moving parts I like.

A few other things of note from the latest chapter.

- Beerus reveals to Vegeta that he ordered Freiza to eradicate the saiyan as part of teaching Vegeta to control his rage. It' been quite some time since Beerus looked this cunning and manipulative. I like it.
- Namekians get another retcon, they apparently come from another realm entirely, and Granolah is friends with one.
- There are sets of dragon balls that are smaller than the ones we're used to. Granolah uses a set of two to summon a dragon and asking it to make him the strongest warrior of all. It'll be curious to see if it works for him.
- The Heeters are planning on looking for dragon balls as well.

Agreed.

It was also done quite hastily. Just a quick talk between the two with nothing especially impactful said or revealed. Very dull for what should've been a heartrending scene.

It doesn't help that we lost Kurama in a fight against possibly the worst villains in the entire franchise. Isshiki Otsutsuki is so freaking bland and dull. Even Kaguya was better, she might've been a big blob but she was at least somewhat entertaining in her madness.

Also, Sasuke's rinnegan has been stabbed out so you get the feeling these two have been nerfed so that the kiddos can get a chance to be relevant without it feeling unreasonable.

I'm still interested in where this is going, but I'm not really enjoying the series, but it's not like frustrating to read. It's just kind of meh. Might cut it.
