Kyle Massey (Corey in the House/That's So Raven) has been caught sending explicit (pornographic) material to 13-year-old girls.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

"Yeah, I mean, I guess it's a nice looking katana, but, like, what if we also stuck a second katana to with a chain made of barbed wire, and also bolted a pistol into the grip, and put laser sights on the second handle, to help you aim your swing?"
I am somehow simultaneously surprised and yet not.
I mean, they had him dead to rights, and he was in prison, so it seemed like it was a lock.
But also he's a rich celebrity, so of course. Even if he'd ended up in jail, it'd've been some special lightweight sentence.
I'm almost astonished she actually got sentenced anything, so good she didn't walk, but 3 years ain't nothin' for something that bad.

It was a lock.
But apparently the info that made it a lock? Obtained during questioning where the DA said "hey, we won't use this information and send you to jail" so Cosby talked and then they said "Hey we're going to use this information to send you to jail."
And then Cosby's lawyers were like "You know this invalidates all the evidence you just got and he's going to walk free on appeal right?"
And then he gets out on the appeal like they said.
Just uh, great job DA.
Where you're right though, is that someone poorer wouldn't have been able to pay lawyers and all that to get that appeal looked at iirc, so basically if you have money the system works more easily for you, and if you don't you're in an unfair system.
Gotta love this place

sigh
I mean, yeah, you're not supposed to pull shit like that.
On the other hand, clearly fucking guilty, self-admittedly so.
I mean, I dunno, this seems like a situation where the DA needs to get slapped with some kind of punishment for the fuck up, but at the same time, you don't just let the guilty guy walk.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran
