This explains the costume change - upgrade for a new, more up-front position. I am not...against this idea. Certainly Clea deserves to have some time in the spotlight, and shifting to Sorcerer Supreme of the Earth Dimension isn't exactly a step down. I would totally buy that book. The only thing that bugs me about the whole idea, in fact, is 'what then happens to Stephen?' They'll probably find a way to keep 'slice out of time' Strange around to keep his character going, rather than resurrecting the old Strange; it will downgrade his power, ensuring he's capable of joining team stuff, and also erase a lot of the BS from the last few years (decade). I'm a little sad about that, if that's how they go, but they could have done things worse. And hey, maybe that means his magic will go back to the old school style. It's honestly a better idea than the usual 'Strange loses his magic, must struggle and find new magic' storyline they've been regurgitating for about a decade and a half, if not longer.
