I prefer the theory that's Ruffy's awakened his devil fruit powers into Resin like powers. It would be weird and a bit disappointing if his iconic Gum Gum fruit was ACTUALLY the Resin Resin fruit ALL ALONG.

So Luffy awakened his devil fruit into a special paramecia like Katakuri's Mochi Mochi fruit? That does make sense, and it'd explain how one Awakens their devil fruit: suffer a near-death experience/die for a couple seconds. And it'd also give us a reason for why the Marines were so big on keeping the fruit: not what it is (as the gum gum fruit isn't spectacular on its own), but what it can become (a special paramecia with resin-based powers). And yes, that's entirely in the Marine's wheelhouse.

I just came back from watching "The Batman," and I enjoyed it for the most part. Patterson proved that he could hold his own as the Caped Crusader and still have his own spin on it. I wasn't so thrilled with his emo Bruce Wayne, but seeing that he was still relatively new into his crime-fighting career, I chalk it to his character getting used to wearing the dual masks of Bruce and the Bat. Kravitz was enjoyable as Catwomen, and Dano was terrifying as The Ridler. Even Gotham City's portrayal was probably the most authentic take I've seen done on film.

However, the biggest problem with the film was that It should not have been three hours. They could have easily trimmed at least thirty to forty minutes from it, and it would have been a much tighter film. Also, I did find it funny how Batman just walked into a crime scene or room as if he was just another person. I mean, he's a trained ninja; have him jump out and give Gordon a scare now and then. Besides those little nitpicks, this is one of the better Batman movies. However, not at the tier of "The Dark Knight" or "Mask of The Phantasm."

Also, I hope they try to follow up on Patterson's idea and do "Court of Owls" for the next movie. It would help build on what the first one was setting up.

I think the runtime of the film is good tbh. It feels like watching a few tv episodes in a row and everything that is there should be there IMO.

I also barely noticed the runtime in theater, Dune in contrast felt like a notably more interminable film.

Also, apparently Danger Sense is freaking useless since Toga literally running at him with a knife doesn't register it. I'm sorry but Deku smacked Muscular earlier. Toga shouldn't even be a blip to him anymore.

Danger Sense didn't trigger when Toga went for him. First translation suggested it was because she associates stabbing with love and affection that it didn't read her intentions as dangerous toward Deku. The second, more recent one, suggested that Toga was so far below Deku that it didn't register as a danger to him because she's not really capable of hurting him.
