Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

Yeah, bad times don’t last forever, but Bad Guys do. RIP Scott.
Huh, seems like they're giving her a different power set. I'm ok with that.
Honestly I don't feel bad about Scott Hall passing so much as I feel happy for him having made it as far as he did, because he by all means should have died 15-20 years ago
Kind of trivial in light of Hall’s death, but have you seen any of the Guardians of Justice on Netflix?
DDP plays the lead (a Batman analogue) and John Morrison / Nitro / Mundo / Impact / Hennigan is also in it.
I mean it’s tragically terrible, even as a parody, but it’s a thing that exists. Probably the worst Justice League analogue I’ve ever seen.

Some of the thinking might be, too, that the energy powers also probably tie better visually-thematically to Captain Marvel herself.
They could have just given her general shape-shifting like she originally had when her powers first triggered, but I guess it would depend on how they want to do the action scenes. Or they could have done the giant/shrink thing, but they probably felt it too similar to Ant-Man.
