Evac ? Nah.

As far as I know the roads are open to a limited degree. With the damage done to bridges however I think they've routed traffic down an old highway (the Old Glenn, it's a one-way that runs from er ... Birchwood past Eagle River, IIRC) to get around the damage done to Eagle River's North Bridge. They turned off some of the water for the city of Anchorage though for fear of pipe damage. Not sure if they reopened the gas stations yet though, which were shut down for fear of the same.

Will make work interesting, Monday that's for sure.

EDIT: I'm doing alright though. Made sure the cabin wasn't damaged, and made it to the store for water and stuff. Just in case, so I'm just hunkered down.

That car must have been flying, Dukes of Hazard style, as the road was uplifted beneath him. Then the momentum must have kept it going until the driver was finally able to break to a stop. That poor guy probably nearly had a heart attack from that roller coaster ride.
