Depends on the version. Some comic iterations have him and Primus depicted as multiversal threats, with Unicron devouring space itself in one continuity. I'm not too big on Transformers lore either, so take it with a grain of salt.

Sort of like, how schaedenfreude describes pleasure at someone else's misfortune, or catharsis a release of emotions.
