RWBY Volume 6 Episode 8

Okaaay. Not a great showing for the Atlas Military. The woman in charge of the base is an a-hole Atlas fanatic who seems to be racist against the faunus. Pleasant. Her interaction with Mariah were amusing though. Team RNJ are, predictably, not happy when they find out the truth about the conflict from Team RWBYOQM. Jaune in particular nearly throttles poor Oscar and even Ren seems mad at them despite being calmer than Nora and Jaune. More importantly, we fiiiinally learn about the Silver Eyes from Mariah! If she's right, then the Silver Eyes were in fact a gift from The God of Light. Remember that Golden Jacka$$? Yep, him. If you look back at the vision, you can see that he did in fact have Silver Eyes in dragon form and that his light blast did resemble the Silver Eyes. Mariah was in fact trained in her power by her father. Also we learn that he was only able to find out a very small amount of information and that even that was extremely difficult. Meaning its likely that Salem's been scrubbing all information about the eyes from history. Mariah says that the eyes will only activate in the presence of Grimm. Soooo if they are going to train it'll have to be in a combat situation. In the meantime, they'll have to work on getting Ruby into a proper mental state where she can summon the eyes when she needs them too. Ruby also remembers that her powers have downed Cinder twice now and is starting to suspect Cinder might have some Grimm in her.
