It's fine. He's alive in the secret ending... or maybe not because it could be a Reaper Game. I'm more surprised by the Luxu reveal. Also, that Maleficent outlived good old nort.

Especially after she starts the fight by saying Sora had only seen her weak side lately. Then again, Sora kind of carries everyone that game.

I'm also curious to see if Sora will have ready access to X3 - Xehanort's version of a completed X-blade - since it wasn't destroyed and Sora was the last one to have it. I imagine he's going to need a plot device like that given the likelihood that one of the Master's goals probably involves reassembling the true X-blade from the Seven New Hearts and whomever harbors the thirteen darknesses.
