    There's that.

Also, this arc is busy portraying Mephisto as someone who can basically take out Clea and Umar with a wave of the hand, so...we're back to 'all-powerful Mephisto', clearly.

Damn, sorry to hear that Sub.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

I had been preparing myself for the this the last few days, but it still hit me hard than I thought it would. He was at home and went peacefully. That's all we can ask for.

There is some comfort to know of that (my grandmother and great aunt didn't exactly got that so I'm glad your grandfather did) Still, so sorry.

I took part in an international Savate Open last Saturday. In Savate, you have two types of confrontations:
-the assaut, basically light contact, with an aesthetic component (e.g. land several kicks without putting the foot back on the ground). It is still a confrontation, however, involving tactics, footwork, and there are no interruptions to count points.
-Combat, which is full contact, you'll find much less double kicks, obviously.

Three rounds, I won round 1 and 3(this one thanks to a high kick). As for what I have to improve:
-more double kicks (though I can live with that)
-chassés (regrouping side kicks and front kicks here) that are thrown from too far. I think it is due to one of the main difficulties I have with Savate, which is that the leg has to be fully extended when the kick lands, and it has to land with the foot (kicking with the tibia can land you penalties).
-I need to improve my footwork as well.

It was a good learning experience, both probably for future competitions, and for my Jeet Kune Do training (where I don't have to hold back as much regarding power, even if it's encouraged, for obvious health reasons) .

    That's not a joke, I really didn't drink before I was 26-27.
25 here, and I don't intend to drink due to some family incidents

his comments about the affidavit and some of his views on AEW were just too much for matty. not sure if this extends to riffdown but this was a long time coming. matis has a bad habit of rubbing people the wrong way.
