So tonight I open in a play where I have to sing (there’s a reason I don’t do musicals), tap dance (correction: there’s several reasons I don’t do musicals), and also dance in heels while dressed as a showgirl.
There will be no audiovisual evidence of this event occurring.
I just have to get through seven performances and it’ll all be over.

Getting emotionally stabbed by people repeatedly while also having to prepare for a wedding in the family sure is fun.
This concludes my venting.

Well, former friends were doing the emotional stabbing. The family is just draining energy and a bit of entitlement ("What do you mean you don't want to spend all morning doing something for us with only 12 hours warning that require you to break your sleep schedule?").
I'll pull through, just leaves me really tired of things.
Former friends? Yeesh. I can see why they're former, and good that you've lost them. But still, if they can make life miserable....
Hang in there.

Hahaha, in the real world for sure.
Gil and Tarvek have competing claims for dominion over Europa. They love the same woman. They're both extremely accomplished sparks in their fields. Tarvek's family has not only been scheming against Gil's, but has been actively working with the Other. Yet they not only manage to refrain from killing one another, but they actively work together and share a deep, mutual, grudging respect. By the standards of the Girl Genius world, they're a model rivalry and excellent candidates of Agatha's harem. ^_^
No disagreement here. None at all. ^_^

So am I the only one who finds Hulk Hogan's matches in Japan surreal? It's just weird seeing move so fast and wrestle such a technical style (I honestly didn't know he was capable fo that kind of workrate).
weird but understandable. wrestlers often had to change styles when over in japan. the "sports entertainment" style isn't well liked over there. it wasn't that hogan couldn't wrestle. it's just that he wasn't allowed to wrestle that style in the WWF.
still don't care for him though.
So, John K's "Cans Without Labels" has finally landed. It was NOT worth the wait.
Kind of like Duke Nukem Forever. Though Cans Without Labels only took 6 years compared to Duke Nukem Forever's 14.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.
