It was different but it still had that Wildstorm feel.

Turns out the Harley Quinn Movie gave us Discount Pod Cassie instead of the real thing. Can't even fight. She's basically just there.

    Producers -Yes.

Is it worth watching aside from this (admittedly major) issue?

    I would say no.

But I'd also say it's still better than the new Charlie's Angels.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

Ehhhhh? Kinda sorta maybe? I mean, it's about on the level of Nu Charlie's Angels minus the hilarity of Evil Patrick Stewart. Instead we get 'Black Mask' being a Straw Misogynist. Zsasz is in it and he's okay I guess, but he has a weird touch in this version where he only cuts himself when he kills a woman. Because reasons? Idk man.
    I'd say it's a rental really.

So I've seen that Horikoshi's love of giving characters names related to their personality/Quirk has bitten him in the ass due to naming Doctor Robotnik's MHA OC a name that references World War II war crimes. Particularly his first name, Maruta, is one used to refer to victims of human experimentation during World War II.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

Me and my podcast crew saw Charlie's Angels and were like... fucking meh...

One member of my crew went to a midnight screening of BOP, left after 20 mins and said it was effectively unwatchable.

I really hope they haven't **** the bed. I wanted this film to be good or at least interesting. :/

From what I've heard, as a movie it's fine.

I don't intend to see it, because I've heard about how it treats Cass and I know I won't be able to give it a fair shake.

I dug it a lot. I really loved what he did with John Lynch.

Yea, Lynch had a fun role. I liked some of the nods to earlier Stormwatch characters too as well. Lynch visiting the gen13 parents was good stuff
