There was a massive KamiJirou moment in the latest chapter of My Hero Academia which still has me smiling like the giant dork I am.

as of now, the SSB annhilation tournament is hereby...........discontinued.

in its place will be the SSB GRAND CLIMAX TOURNAMENT!

this will be a several month long tournament series, with a weekly tournament every thursday. it will be point based, with points being awarded to participants depending on how well they do in the tournaments.

at the end of the series, the top 8 smashers will face off in a single-elimination tournament and the winner will be award with a new title and be crowned the first ever "le grand champion".

there will be more rules and details to come.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

Bear in mind it was set in the past, presumably so that they can introduce adult Monica in future films without diluting Carol‘s importance in the first one.
