Yup. In France, rumors about a 45-day long confinment are starting to surface. Since I am an employed contractor (in software engineering), who just started a new job, and was supposed to start my new project this morning, it does worry me a bit. Yeah. It's understandable given what went down. But yeah, it's just going to be surreal and just depressing. Just reminds me of the two incidents in my otherwise quiet neighborhood that got neighbors so spooked that my next door neighbor, a great guy with a loving family, immediately moved away for his kids sake.

Our PM just announced we all need to avoid unnecessary social contact, work from home, and that by the end of this week all people over 70 OR who have chronic illness OR who have ANY illness that suppresses their immune system OR who are pregnant, should be shielded from basically all social contact beyond that which is absolutely necessary for the next 12 weeks or more.

So yeah. Life just got very weird.
