Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

I guess smileys don't come cheap anymore .
Dang it, I can't stop using them...

Well, that makes me nervous... Nice to meet you!
Heh.
Guy1, I see you've been posting a few clips and gifs from various Sentai shows and Ranger fights. That makes me happy to see someone's in charge of the board's Ranger lore. I was the Ranger guy at the CBUB before being a Ranger guy was considered cool ... and I'm suddenly realising that I doubt anyone knows what "CBUB" stands for anymore .
Thanks Len!
I remember you though, my canine compatriot. It's been a while.
It never stopped treating me well, in all my adventures. I'm definitely trying to live more of a Ranger-life, now. You know? More adventures, things my Ranger-self would do.
I was over-joyed, a couple of years ago, to find someone on the internet who had created his own Orange Stegosaurus Ranger outfit. So I cropped the photo and I'm using it for my avatar, but I've had a couple of people independently draw me some better, updated versions of it recently (without asking). The pictures look amazing, it was so sweet of them to do it, I can't wait to show them off.

Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

Oh that's so cool! He's only been to Australia once, and he only came to Sydney, which is an 8-hour road-trip south of me, so, I never met him.
One thing that I've been doing is attending Supernova, an Australian convention. They're in Brisbane (which is my closest capital city, it's only a 90 minute train ride away) every November, and I've been attending, every year that I could.
I've met (and shaken the hands of) 4 past Rangers. Actually, this last year, one of the Australian actors was there (because they film in New Zealand, these days), and I got to chatting with him. We talked all day, we ended up becoming friends, it was such a great experience. He even had one of his old scripts (that he'd hung onto), and he showed it to me. Gosh, that was such a cool moment.
Oh, and this ... one of the greatest moments of my life .

You can tell, when he put his hand on my shoulder to take the photo, my inner monologue just devolved into, "wild screaming".
True. And I don't blame you, since not everyone remembers things like I do. And unfortunately that means I remember and stress over embarrassing/upsetting things long after others have let it go.
And God, the knowledge that I was regularly online before smart phones and social media makes me feel old.

Uh, I've never met an Old One before. Pleased to shake your tentacle, Cthulhu .
Then it's a lovely week for long-overdue reunions.
You're not wrong. I realised last night that an entire generation of kids grew up and is probably now using the board, in the time I was away. Yikes!
