“We’ve been married a little over two months and have already experienced SO MUCH together. Even in our dating period, we faced a time when Kevin almost needed stomach surgery. We faced a time when I was literally on my death bed and in the hospital, as he sat next to me and prayed and reached out for others to pray for me. We faced financial problems, doing our best to hustle and make ends meet. We faced arguments so bad that both of us at one point had decided to leave the relationship. We faced family loss on his side, and family hardships on mine. There have been times when we both held each other and cried together, praying but unsure. We’ve faced threatening letters and notices that would literally pin our backs to the wall. And even in this season, just as we were beginning to see the light, we had a very unexpected series of unfortunate events happen one after another after another. Back to back to back. But I’d be foolish not to push aside my pain and hurt and sadness to thank this man that I married for choosing to stick by me through it all. Honestly, I have no clue what God is up to in regards to our marriage. We didn’t get this super light and flowery newly-wed lifestyle where all we ever have to worry about is what movie we want to go see. We got married and immediately got hit with what seemed like everything the enemy had... but we’re still here. He’s still here. And I’m truly grateful to have this man be by my side. He has been sweet, patient, loving, nurturing, uplifting and sensitive to me and I am just so so so humbled to have this man. He may not be everything I want him to be, but he’s everything I need him to be... and for that my cup runs over. So thank you babe @kevinwelbeck ... we’re dealing with a lot right now, and I truly didn’t believe there was ahope in this season...then I realized how amazing my husband is. And I realized that you and me with God can do anything. So we may not have that easy, fairytale newlywed, light hearted fun life right now, but I’ve enjoyed fighting the enemy with you. I’ve enjoyed the struggles only because the victories have been so sweet. I love conquering with you. I just love you.”
