Superman & Wonder Woman Relationship Appreciation 2018

It reminds me a bit of the New Krypton saga. The writers who set it up abandoned early for other projects and DC blew up (literally) the whole thing nullifying everything they were building/planning (still the concept of NK has recently resurfaced, albeit in a different way).

So if SMWW is to resurface, it’s a given it will be different but hoping in a more positive way.

I think that a lot of ideas that didn't have a chance to be developed during the time they dated could be still (re)used even without them being romantically involved. 🤔

I was thinking to things like Superman dealing with Diana's Gods as planned by Andy Diggle(?), learning from each other different backgrounds, Wondy teaching Superman how to use a sword/fight/whatever, their actions as a duo having repercussions across the DCU, etc...

This is what needs to happen period. Kal vs. the Gods, Diana training him. Why hasn’t this happened? Why was it stopped?? This is the kind of challenges these characters need.

Yeah, I agree. Not counting Cale and Luthor which are obvious equivalents, Dr. Cyber and Brainiac could have a sort alliance or Ares and Zod... the God of War and the military leader of Krypton, it's a match made in Heaven. 😅 They even mirror each other in the DCEU. 😉

Yeah, there are many parallels and homages. I read also blog posts that analized their character journey in the DCEU focusing not only on the parallels but the differences too.
