This is so heart warming. Time and time again so many people connect with these two characters.

Two of DC's best and kindest characters, they represent ...inner strength...love...inspiration...motivation...hope. If DC never does SMWW again, we can say the impact has been remarkable.

That’s Superman and Wonder Woman purpose in the first place but somehow that has gotten lost with some narrow minded views. There are so many posts be it families, couples or just an individual that are inspired and motivated by them together.

Miller's verse was built years ago...so DK status quo was done already. Mind you I really am curious to see the Jonathan of DK verse explored. I want to see what he would grow up into given he was raised by Amazons as well. To see a warrior legacy smww son would be awesome. Give that boy a sword.

It seemed like post KC ( due to its success) DC had seen them as an inevitable pairing once time goes by in most future settings because of the characters' close bond and natural longevity.

Someone mentioned Miller wanted to do a JL story in World War 2 setting. I'd love to see SMWW with their golden age power set done there.

I also want to read a Superman getting outed as the status quo and staying outed. Think Truth but with his powers. And it will clearly show an ID does not define any hero's morality or choices. It would make life just that bit more challenging because he could not hide or lie any more to the public and would have to, like any person subject to the limelight or trying to create change in the world, deal with the good and the bad fallout that comes with that. A Black Label would be great for that. Many heroes these days have successful stories without secret ids. Of course Diana would be a perfect foil/ partner for this setting.
Give me Jonathan and Lara training with Diana and the Amazons! Yes please! Lara is more of a daddy’s girl and Jonathan is more of a mama’s boy.

I always see posts that has KC as the number 1 recommended graphic novel to read to bring in readers to DC or I’ve seen many people say it was why they are DC fans. Live action or animation, this is also the number 1 choice. Very telling.

    All of that! Gimme!

Perez pitched a SM/WW one-shot around 2016 and it was turned down. I see SM/WW gradually disappear even from the out-of-continuity stuff after Convergence/Rebirth. I wouldn't be surprised if it also disappeared from Injustice.

Back in the 90s, KC was a big push for SM/WW on so many levels (friendship, romance, etc). It's only comparable to the big push that DC itself gave to SM/WW recently. SuperWonder needs another of this kind of "support" to get back on track as I mentioned in my response to Xarek...

So, to get back to what we had before, SM/WW need to be supported again from high. And with the movies dictating what's going in the comics as you said, the push for SM/WW should come directly from WB next time.

Maybe it will take less than 15 years... WB did make a script for a potential movie adaptation of Red Son. If it'll be realized in their line of Elseworlds films and features SM/WW as in the original comic books, SM/WW will eventually return to being pushed at least into alternate Earths by DC.

Wait. What???? Perez? In 2016? I know he'd pitched something in the 80ties or some such but as recent as 2 years ago? And they turned him down? A one shot after green lighting so many other minis that barely even sell???

Yeah....all confused with that. Keeping and/or green lighting low sellers but turning down something guaranteed to sell.... logic out the window

I dunno. But again...lost opportunities. So many lost opportunities.

I know one thing. We have a lot of artists that favor smww. So maybe they can be sneaky and keep drawing them together, side by side if the writers can't or won't let them converse.

Lol, that's Juan Ferreyra during his time as artist on Green Arrow.

Continuing the TDKverse through spin-offs about SM/WW, Lara and Jonathan would be ideal for me. The main series is supposed to end with the 4th book.

    Sibling rivalry too! Yes!

    It needs more recognition.

    That’s the perfect gif!

It looks like Clark has a crush on Diana and he's pissed because she never talked to him while he wished that they know each other better. Diana is trying to calm Clark by telling him that in reality she loves and knows him... but eventually he'll end up headbutting her after she'll specify that she loves him... as a friend, lol.

yep, in general SM new 52 is the most sexiest and with more sex appeal than I have seen.

I agree with you and Hellacre about Superman being drawn more "sexy" during the New52. Diana didn't changed much visually after Rebirth, imo. She's "hot" the same as before.
I'm not sure, Diana new 52 looked great young and very very sexy. Diana Rebirth in my opinion has lost a bit of charm even though it always depends on the artists, but even though she is still hot, several artists draw her as if she were much bigger than Diana new 52 and theoretically Diana shouldn't grow old. also the choker gave her something special that I loved a lot.

Soule left fans with the impression the book was I quote "in good hands" . Sadly it was not. Even if they wanted to finish the series. I'd assume most people taking on a title would at least have some loyalty to the subject matter or understood what they were writing and enjoyed what they were writing. He complained about Diana because he did not know what to do with her or how to incorporate her. How can you take on a series with that approach? Could have given it to someone else. But I guess he took it given he knew what he was going to get.

DC has/had Injustice, Bombshells, JL 3000, several Superman digital titles that went for 6 to 12 issues, several crossover titles with cartoon characters, Earth 2, Sensation Comics, numerous launches and relaunches of B and C characters. My point is...they can very well offer a new 52 Earth because many of these other titles never sold above 20 k. It could easily go as a 12 issue series etc because some of the nonsense DC has done wasting paper for filler....I can only think there is a mandate by the company to keep SM away from WW. Even as a friend. She is being currently put with other Leaguers (eg BM or AM) to try to be their bestest friends than the one character she's been the closest too for decades. I guess if the DK verse expands we could get a crumb tossed at us since Miller doesn't strike me as one to care about haters and editorial won't interfere anyway.
I've said it before, and although it sounds a bit silly, I'm pretty sure that DC is currently being led by a team that loves Lois Lane. I mean, have you seen the movies? Lois is a main character in stories where she shouldn't be almost important. I remember by the way that when I went to the cinema to see JL, Amy's name came before Gal's.
if it was what I said that explains why DC currently tries to devalue SMWW friendship/romance and give more importance to Lois as when she fight with the furies.
