I think it's cute the way she calls him Kal! An intimate way, and only theirs, is as if, for a moment, they communicated on a level above others. I know Kal is his ktyptonian name but she turns him into something more ... not a nickname or something but something of hers. They really do have a particular sphere.

An, nice recreation of Diana's dream from the classic Perez run.
George's niece and the Superman cosplayer did a "grounded" take on the scene (I guess they didn't know how to fly, lol).
In the original comic, Diana dreamed of meeting the "godly" Superman coming from the sky to kiss her. She didn't know Clark yet personally but she was attracted to him and viceversa.

I like the co-ordination of the writers of the respective books to set up a date between Clark and Diana. They dream of each other in their own series around the same month and Clark as a journalist tries multiple times to contact Diana's publicist to talk with Diana about a date, while the publicist want to make the headlines with Diana's potential date with Superman.

Yeah, the cover promised a romance but it never went beyond a kiss. I'd be pissed after reading the whole issue.

But the tabloid couple is a fun and great idea to play with especially when it’s at this stage of Clark and Diana getting to know each other more, it’s an obvious attraction and all.

It think it's a good idea and I've already expressed why. Still I don't feel that the current iterations of the characters have the kind of "connection" that could make people think that they're perfect for each other or an actual couple.
