That worked out well didn’t it? As stated above, premature jumping into something else that isn’t/wasn’t guranteed and has never had the backing or history of support.

And with the bigger media playing a role...yeah sure but as we’ve seen, it doesn’t really make a bit of difference? The books are still selling the same no matter the status quo/synergy. So why change so drastically basically putting all eggs in one basket?

Well, it's about what the company want to promote. If they want Barry Allen as the main Flash in all media, no way Wally West is going to play that role anywhere (he's lucky to be still around ). One example that come to my mind is Duke Thomas. As he said in a podcast, Scott Snyder created the character to be the next Robin and DC's higher ups were ok with it but the people at WB wanted to keep Damian as Robin (he was already everywhere outside of comics) and Duke had to find another identity then.

Apply this logic to SM/WW that for some years was something that WB/DC was promoting and appear in multiple media and then when they had to promote something else, they make it disappear everywhere.

What they thought would work didn’t at all. This is literally an example of “the grass isn’t greener on the other side” especially when SMWW was flourishing.

I honestly think either way you word it, it’s still bad. Diana isn’t respected but easily used.

It was a “TRINITY” book though. The name alone should’ve had some kind of impact right? And the creative team (writer/artist) considered an all star. The first storyline was adjusting to the new status quo and that still didn’t do?

The first issues of Trinity and Superman/Wonder Woman sold more or less the same, so there was a bit of interest in the beginning but rapidly faded away. The Superman/Wonder Woman book was more consistent sales-wise, at least before the Truth crossover.

I think it's worth of a sales analysis/comparison someday.

Even with the failure of the DCEU, if the company relies so much on their movies, you'll get the situation with SM/WW being stale for the near future as things will not go in one direction or another in their cinematic universe anyway. I mean, Superman is probably gone. You can't "fix" his relationship with Diana without him around.

Yeah, I'm sure it wasn't what they expected. A book like that you'll think it'll sell as much as BM/SM instead of ending up selling almost half the copies of SM/WW. But they can always blame the creative team or the storylines and not that SM/WW aren't dating in it so it doesn't sell.

TRUTH.

And we will keep supporting SMWW. Many fans still draw and write and buy merch. It's really the comics right now the fans are not buying due to the fact they are treating even the friendship with scant courtesy.
