Superman & Wonder Woman Relationship Appreciation 2018

SMWW are like the graphical representation of the DNA chain, always intersecting at some point and even when far away "lines" connect them.

No matter how you try to separate SMWW, no matter how much you try to destroy their dynamics, we just need a scene like the cover of HiC 1 where they are standing side by side to see how much they complete each other. DC is the one who has lost the most by denying fans this status ... I do not even have to say how much the Justice League movie was strange and uncharacteristic and how much the lack of dialogue between SM and WW was noticed ... Turning SM from WW is paddling against the tide ... a bent and usually unproductive effort.

Superman and Wonder Woman had their connection from the very beginning. The creation and motivation of Wonder Woman was to be the answer and counterpart to Superman. Their romantic connection wasn’t a main point...wasn’t a point at all, but that is something else that speaks volume of how their dynamic is so natural and has evolved. They worked together and gravitated toward each other as partners, an instant attraction building a trusting, honest friendship that became something so much more deeper that doesn’t even depend on them just being romantically involved.

Seriously, I am sure there were thousands of pics. We barely touched the surface. It seems to be getting more and more with each year. I mean after a world leader and his wife dressed as SuperWonder last year you know smww has arrived and is here to stay!

I been doing some checking up on the artist working with Frank Miller to see his art etc...and on his IG I came across some very interesting pics. It seems this project The Golden Child could have been pitched while they writing DK3. Rafael visited Frank in NYC too in 2017 and hung out with Azz too. Here in 2016 he took a pic of this and said he was reading it. He called it homework.

SMWW is a long-term project with multiple raids in various segments (Elseworlds, Minis, One Shots) ... they are no longer in the test phase, but are in the process of being deployed because DC knows about the public outcry.

Even the fairy tales had their updates, the concept of "prince charming" has changed, the "princess" too ... she does not stay in her castle waiting to be saved, she fights alongside her prince and sometimes it is she who comes to his aid. Today couples seek equal rights and powers and it is obvious that WW has that level of equality with SM.

That's the kind of things that make little sense in DC's mindset: starting from 2015/6, they let writers treating SM/WW like yesterday garbage alienating its fans, decided to erase it from continuity pretending they don't own any explanation to the readers and then after they finished to destroy the last bit of it, they open the door to all kind of questionable BM/WW fanservice because of a movie that people hated and another one that nobody was interested in watching. In the meantime, however, they had no problem leaving Frank Miller free to make a story about the son of Superman and Wonder Woman because they wanted to milk the DKverse as much as possible. Wth? 🤔

I love that they couples use the terms that are used in the smww comic. It goes to show they have some inkling of the couple and their romance. It's not just a fad or the lame excuse detractors like to use...oh the colors match so they think they should be a couple. That's a really lame tired and trite excuse that never washed before and certainly does not now. And is amusing how the phrases Soule used in the series suddenly other couples who never used those things suddenly trying to claim them. The poses of SMWW are also very powerful. The couples you can see feel empowered and inspired. Also SMWW can be goofy and fun loving too if they wanted as seen by the poses we see on comic book covers and the couples that emulate them. eg selfie. And let's not forget the sexy side. A lasso being wielded by a beautiful warrior goddess, a powerful gorgeous man under the mild manners and glasses...I am positive these couples had tons of fun at their parties and in the bedroom. They lie if none of them did not have some fun with the smww accessories.

SMWW isn’t just a trend for the moment. It isn’t just because or the same old, same old tradition. SMWW is a trendsetter and brings out so much joy and unabashed confidence. To see these guys being all lovey dovey and loving to be tied in the lasso, loving to strike the heroic poses, even wear the onesies and most importantly the captions to their Wonder Women are so sweet.
