Donning a Wonderwoman outfit, with “Superman” no less, Daiana Menezes spread the Christmas cheer to 73 boys at the Haven for Children.

Despite her hectic schedule, the Brazilian actress, model, and TV host volunteered to feed the children at the center, in a Christmas Giving Party organized by JCI. Her Wonderwoman costume was perfect for her and the 7- to 13-year-old boys considered her and her friend who was wearing a Superman costume, true superheroes.

“I am blessed to be here to entertain them, talk to them, hear their Christmas wishes, and feed them. In real life, we are all superheroes, trying our best to help,” says “Brazilipina” Daiana, who is also a graduate of the New York Film Academy.
Daina also donated clothes and toys, while JCI donated beds, Toys, clothes, food, rice, sugar, and milk.

“The boys need someone to look up to. And in these times of all bad news, they certainly need a ray of hope that Ms. Di brought today,” says social welfare worker Syra Huiso.

The Haven for Children was founded in 2004 to provide healing and empowerment to former street children 13 years old and below who are exposed and recovering from substance abuse.

Aside from volunteering at Haven, Daiana’s big heart also takes her to other child centers, orphanages, and public schools, to spread love and the Christmas spirit around. Daiana is also an advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and education.

Exactly. And I'm sure that this theme will continue even in the "Golden Child" book.

Really hope so! Really want a “realistic” take on family growth and a true different perspective of the world from Lara and Jon.

The pic makes me think of SM/WWs from multiple realities who gather to prepare the Christmas dinner. 🤣

In these post SMWW are doing what they should do in comics and movies, bring hope, charity and example to those who need it! I'm from the time we used to say that superheroes were "bigger than life", and that's how I want to see them! That each child or adult recognize in them the best of ourselves and ideal to be followed and there are no better icons to represent it than the couple!

Exactly! They are drastically reduced to fit a certain setting/status quo. They are limited most of the time and that shouldn’t be. I love that “real life” couples no matter what, still recognize and understand the bigger broader aspects of who Superman and Wonder Woman really are as individuals and a couple.

What I find interesting is that real couples, who sometimes do not follow comics, identify deeply with SM and WW and not with their current partners in comics. The family they want to form is that of a powerful father and mother, equal, and determined to fight for a better, more just future. The children of these couples feel confident and secure because they know that their parents have fully dressed the mantle of heroes and protectors, they know that they have not abandoned them in the hands of strangers, they will always be close to give them pride!
