In Snyder's version of JL, Diana was supposed to gain back faith in humanity thanks to Superman's sacrifice but it got changed because it clashes with the continuity of Patty's movie as she retconned that Diana abandoned humanity for 100 years.

Whedon's contribution to JL was adding a bit of silly humor and change/remove scenes that could contradict the continuity of the other movies in the works.

Yeah they had to make some major retcons which is good, I still remember hearing from the synder crew that her armor was red because it was bathed in the blood of her enemies which is pretty far from what the character is.

yeah, I should not be optimistic, but I really hope that this is the beginning of at least restoring the friendship of Clark and Diana.

BvS was hated, JL flopped hard... DC could already move on from the pointless "synergy" with those movies and let them be friends again in the comics.

Here's hoping, maybe the movies will actually gamble with their properties like the New 52, can't be worse then what we have now right?

The truth is that although in Injustice we are told that the SM side was the bad bad guy, the truth is that the BM side were not saints either. BM tried to use Trigon and the Gods to attack SM, Kal many times forgive him and even so Bruce kept attacking him, Bruce the only thing he wanted was to return to save his city but with the Regimen that was impossible. I have always seen that the two sides of Injustice are the bad ones. if Bruce had helped Clark to be more moderate and less dictator, many lives would have been saved instead he simply decided to declare war on him because what Batman says is the right thing to do.
but the saddest thing about this game is that it has drastically damage the image of both SM and WW as individuals and of course SMWW too

Unfortunately for both of them, the General audience will only buy the games where their portrayals are at their worst and their relationship isn't shown to be that great either. Hopefully there could be a turn around if they decide to do another.

True, WB wanted more cowbell and synder wanted to give that to them, just a shame he dragged superman and wonder woman into that grey world rather then the brightest day where they belong. This was a long while ago and yeah I haven't been watching it lately, but it's nice that these things pop up in pop culture. Like In NCIS LA (can't find the clip) two characters with romantic tension mention their favorite gym gear and you can guess which fictional characters are on these gym shorts.

Well, at least Patty's WW showed them the way. Which is ironic because her pitch was turned down because it didn't fit with the direction they wanted to give to WW and they entrusted the project to another director (McLaren) that later left for "creative differences", forcing WB to call back Patty and look for a compromise with her vision. Well, miracles happen sometimes.
