Cullen Bunn every time he sits down to script an issue of Blue.

I'm disappointed by how things went with Blue, and Bunn in general. I've ranted a lot about it, but what's lost in that is how I hoped Bunn would react by doing better by her in future issues. He had very rare good moments, and he did very slightly improve the dynamic with her father, but all the really big problems persisted. Instead of making up for having Havok hijack her return issues, he gave Havok his own five-issue story arc. Instead of letting the Malice bits be a dedicated story arc, or let Lorna leading her temp team be the focus, he made those things into filler or subplots to Havok's story. Instead of letting Lorna's history play a role in anything, like having her chat with teen Jean and teen Bobby, he disregarded her history. It reinforced all the bad things about having Havok anywhere near her, and worst of all, there was no need for any of it. He went on to lead his own team book while Marvel has no plans to give Lorna anything, not even for her 50th in October.
Before everything happened, I thought Bunn had the kind of interest Lorna needed to get some real use and respect on the books. I don't think that's true anymore. But I thought it was, and I'm disappointed that it seems like I'm only right when I'm expecting the worst, never when I hope for the best.
EDIT: I just realized the admins decided to change the titles of all the appreciation threads to a generic common format. That's disappointing. But if they're going to do that, the title of this one should have "Lorna Dane: Polaris" to match all the other characters.

Ha. That is funny even though I don't think I agree
Polaris' presence in BLUE were her best showings since certain aspects of ANXF which was in 2013/2014
I'll just re-iterate that my main problem with her in BLUE was *we needed more*.
But I was so happy she got to be in an actual squad, with an actual uniform, and engage in some action. She came off as intimidating and powerful overall.
She made her peace with Havok AND Magneto (well a partial sort of peace with Magneto).
She had a decent (but minor) interaction with Emma Frost.
Yes a lot more could have been done sure.
But compare this to how she was used in the end of the Magneto solo? Bunn learned and improved massively
Forget the old ways - Krakoa is god.

First of soon to be quite a few Fox TV promos for season 2. This was is certainly targeted at their Empire viewers.
