I thought X-Men Red #9 was really great! We have a sisterly moment between Jean and Storm. Jean and Rachel have a nice mother/daughter moment. Rachel gets one good hit against Jean and Cassandra. Rachel is acknowledged as powerful. Jean is acknowledged as being more powerful since her resurrection than she was before. We continue to see that Jean has become a really good strategist and leader. Jean mentions not being afraid to die and having died for others several times.

Red #9 was ok, Taylor never has done much for me with his writing, but i did like how she beat Cassandra. It was heavy handed and silly but i never liked her as a characther to begin with, so maybe is just my bias lol.

This week’s X-Men Red was INSANELY good! Possibly my fave issue of the series so far. Lots of standout Jean moments to be seen in this issue. That Storm/Jean moment, when they hugged, great to finally see such a heartfelt interaction between them. That art of Jean arriving at Genosha to face Cassandra/Rachel was STUNNING! She looked uber-powerful and super-heroic. Jean and Rachel’s interaction after Cassandra relinquished control of Rach’ was AWESOME. The mother/daughter love shared between them was demonstrated beautifully here. And Jean duping Cassandra by broadcasting a psionic construct of herself to Genosha was pure genius and showcased just how tactile and cunning Jean can be as a leader. Cassandra’s comment towards Jean about her being stronger than the last time they faced each other was SO satisfying! I’m starting to finally believe that the Phoenix was holding her back all this time afterall.

Red #9 was freaking amazing. I was afraid for the artist change but the new one was excellent. My girl kicking ass, storm/jean and jean/rachel was very cool.

She also exploded the glass cage she was in, seemingly with tk. She has a lot of powers. She was described as having access to all the dormant mutations in Xavier's genome. She seemed to have tp, tk, energy armor, pyrokinesis, phasing, what else? Originally Posted by SuperiorPeterParker
