I don't get why some people complain about Jean's focus on Red. It was obvious it was Jean's book, you don't bring Jean back after so long to play someone else sidekick. Besides at least Taylor did something good in just 11 issues compared to X-men gold and kitty, 36 issues of nothing that went nowhere and did more damage to kitty and colossus. At least Red showed Jean kicking ass, leading, touched current themes and breathed new life on the character.
I just ignore them. It's not as if their opinions actually matter when it comes to books I read, I buy and I like.
Besides, half of them only bought the book when Storm showed up and decidedly disliked it because...well...who really knows or rather, who really cares? Personally, I will never buy a book I don't like, even if my favourite character(s) is featured in it (Gold Turd) so I generally disregard anyone who complains but still rush out to buy the book.
I love XM:Red. I love the characters. I enjoy the run. Yes, I feel the "big fight" moments could have be bigger and more action packed but...that's a minor nit.
If it's well written I would totally not mind them being friends. You'd have to come together with a good story for them to be forced to work on something together to put aside their differences. Maybe Emma's brother Christian completely flips out and she needs Jean's help in healing Christopher and Jean decides to do it?
I don't like that Morrison wanted Emma to be defined by her affair with Scott. If the X-Men can forgive Jean for killing 5 billion people, Jean can forgive Emma for stealing her man. Honestly I used to love Cyclops but his portrayal went downhill to the point where thank the lord Jean wasn't married to him at that time.
Morrison and other male writers have a certain perspective, and Leah as a woman writer has a different perspective. Cyclops is dead, so neither Jean nor Emma can be with him.
While the original White Queen was a shady character, the Morrison/Quesada depiction of her was so sexist. They made it seem like all she had been was the stripper/porn store and forgot that she was a scientist and CEO. It took Cyclops's death for Marvel to remember Emma was a leader in her own right.
There was nothing for the X-men to forgive Jean for. That was not intentional and not an offense done to them. What Emma did was far more personal and calculated. The X-men were detached from the D'bari as they never met, interacted and knew they existed until after the fact. Jean loved and was intimately tied to Scott since she was a teen. Its different. The only being Jean needed forgiveness from was the last surviving D'bari and she was able to get resolution to that in Claremont's second run
For Jean and Emma work together, a friendship between the two isn't needed. They woul work together to save the world without many problems
That wasn't Jean to begin. Also Emma went for Cyclops just to get many laughs at Jean. I can''t even describe how someone can hurt another just to get some laughs.
completely different situations.
I don't think anyone here would be friends with the person that had a affair and a relationship with your loved one.
this too
Jean and Emma can work together, but I don't see them ever being close. Frenemies probably works best for them. As for Red, while I think the cast is too large, anytime a character gets a push/spotlight and it isn't the one they want, people complain. Its nothing new, and will continue to happen to whoever the next person in the spotlight is.

Can we just get an x cartoon?
Or 10 thirty to twenty minute animated short videos, each focusing on different characters, no origins or back stories, just assume that everyone knows them (classic and easily recognized Characters like Jean, Scott, Storm, wolverine, Rogue, gambit, Iceman, beast, nightcrawler, Psylocke, colossus, kitty, jubilee). Maybe even pair up the characters, Scott & Beast, Storm and Gambit, Iceman and Rogue, Jean and wolverine, Colossus and kitty, Psylocke and Kurt.
Just quick short missions, or a day in the life of an Xman, or something.
Please, just give us something.
