I think the point is, whether it is a future or not, that Phoenix / Force has been given to yet another character fior no reason at all, taking it further from Jean again. Phoenix is just used with no real thought any more. Lazy ideas and writing, that Phienix has become irrelevant. morrison at least gave Phoenix a purpose, but this has been diminished or titally firgotten about. Originally Posted by WallStreeter

Since the X-Men of today are mostly influenced by Claremont's run, it's easy to forget that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created Jean and the original X-Men. It's a really sad day. Originally Posted by The Shape

Uncanny X-men #1 was astonishing. I highly recommend it to everyone, even if you're not a Jean Grey fan.
