Her first cover is iconic (in my eyes).
Love that new cover too.
I love this new cover, her eyes are beautiful. it gives me. life.
but yeah, the costume had to go
My favourite thing about the McNiven cover is how Jean could just drop a "You have... um, hot claws Logan, and I'm still an atom bomb." before launching him somewhere.
Love that Jenny Frison cover, she's an incredible artist and is just crushing it with her work on Red.
Someone mentioned it in the solicit thread, but now that claws are being discussed: Jean's manicure game is on. Point. #Slay
Do you guys think Jeen's life will have any influence on adult Jean?
If they are being mindwiped everything feels kind of pointless.
*assuming they are mindwiped*
Her journey isn’t pointless. Everything she done while in the present will still exist and be different because of her.
In fact, her forgetting all the differences she made to the present almost makes it more beautiful. Theoretically she may never know all the good she did in the future. It’s poetic.
Point being just because she won’t remembe doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It will make the 05’s sacrifice all that more epic and selfless.
Another way I think about it is everything we are seeing is “found footage” or a prequel for the 05. So we know everything that happens to them up to this point. But the time travel journey for them is a prequel of sorts. And plenty of prequels are amazing stories even though by definition we already know what happens next. The same goes for plenty of prequel movies.

Your favorite superhero- the one you visit these forums to talk about. Would they talk to others the way you do on this message board?
What feels pointess is we have very little interaction between them. I consider them to be two seperate characters but how do the women view each other? Let's say she does get mindwiped, everyone around adult Jean still has memories of her younger self. Will adult Jean suddenly gain those memories? It would be annoying for her and the rest of the O5 to have a big chunk of their teen lives inaccessible to them. Being a telepath, Jean should be able to unlock that and do it for the rest of them in present day, making their younger selves time here valid
Meh, I'm mostly concerned about picking up with Jean where left off when she died. Don't too much care for retconning things with time-travel nonsense or having an alternate version leave commentary about it. They should have been announced as alternate reality characters at the end of the first "time is messed up because you traveled from the past" story, imo.
On another note: Having Jean represented in so many books is awesome!
Loving these covers!
I LOVE Jean's Brooke Shields eyebrows!
